The 100 Day Project
The 100 Day Project is a free, global art project. Every year, thousands of people all around the world commit to 100 days of exploring their creativity. Anyone can join, and it's up to you to choose your medium and if you want to make it a series.
The idea is simple: choose a project, do it every day for 100 days, and document it with a photo or video. You are invited to share your creative process on Instagram with the hashtag #The100DayProject.
When I was done, I made a hardcover book using Blurb. Here are a few samples of the things I made when I did the project.
The great thing about the project is that you can use it to give yourself permission to play. You are creating and making things every day as a practice. There is no other goal than to commit to 100 consecutive days of expressing your creativity. I am all for it!
I used objects on top of photos and did not digitally alter any of the images. The series was all about color, materials, being curious and experimenting. I have always loved making collages, and this was a three dimensional way of doing collage, I guess.
I love designing and writing short books like this one. I am working on a bunch of books this year (2024) that have just been waiting to take shape and it feels great to finally have some time to work on them!
